Patient Assessment and Preparation:
Conduct a thorough patient consultation, including medical history, allergies, and contraindications (e.g., pregnancy, active infections, anticoagulant use, autoimmune diseases).
Clean the treatment area with a mild cleanser and disinfect with chlorhexidine or an alcohol-free antiseptic.
Apply a topical anesthetic (e.g., lidocaine) if necessary. Leave on for 20–30 minutes, then remove.
Injection Technique:
Recommended Depth: Superficial to Mid-dermis.
Injection Methods:
Microbolus Technique: Small boluses along the lacrimal sulcus (1 cm apart).
Linear injection technique: along the orbital rim to stimulate collagen
Papular injection technique: small superficial depots in the area under the eyes.
Inject at a 15–30° angle and gently distribute the product with light pressure after injection.
Use minimal force to reduce the risk of bruising and discomfort.
Post-procedure care:
Apply a cold compress to reduce swelling and discomfort. Advise the patient not to touch the area for at least 6 hours.
Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and excessive sun or heat exposure for 24–48 hours.
Daily use of a mild moisturizer and sunscreen is recommended.
Inform the patient that mild redness, swelling, or bruising may occur, but usually resolves within 3–5 days.

Therapy regimen:

Contraindications and possible side effects:

A rare complication is vascular occlusion; always aspirate before administering the drug to minimize risks.
Emergency protocols:
In case of vascular occlusion: immediately administer hyaluronidase (when using HA products) and perform a light massage of the affected area.
Anaphylactic reactions: administer antihistamine or adrenaline intramuscularly/subcutaneously. Seek emergency medical attention.
